Man against Man or Woman against Woman Elimination Contest

This is a reenactment of the gun fighter days of the old west.  Western period guns and costumes required.  This is a non-professional event.  Novice and beginner shooters are encouraged to participate.  No experience required.  SASS shooters are encouraged to compete.  Bring your gun, holster, and costume along with 50 rounds of primed 45-caliber brass, 45-caliber single action guns only.  No powder or lead bullets.  Wax bullets provided by the host. 

The event will be man against man shooting @ a 2’ round steel target @ 15’.  Best three out of five shots.  Winner continues and loser gets an X.  Depending on attendance, it will be a two or three X contest.  Winner will be determined by speed and accuracy.  Digital timer will be used to determine the winner of each round. Speed is good but accuracy is final.  Our goal is safety first and fun second.  So come on out and feel the adrenalin rush when you go up against your opponent. 

Trophies and prizes to be awarded: Top 10 men  and Top 5 women. Entry Fee: Men $25.00 , Women $15.00.  For folks who don't have or can't bring a "Six Shooter and Holster", they will available for the competition.

Shooters meeting 9am, August 6
Contest starting lOam, August 6 & 7
Banquet Dinner August 7
(Shooters and guest may attend the Prime Rib dinner Sunday night at the Ellis Store.
